The Bible Tells Me So

The children need to see in us,  that God is truly real

In their lives will come a time,   that they begin to feel

Times of sadness,  times they’re scared, and even times they’ll fear

We must convince them early,  that God is always near

We must teach them when they’re young,  we are never by ourselves

We never stand alone,  like items on the shelves

They should never feel unsure,  or that they have been mistaken

They must always be convinced,  they will never be forsaken

When we sing that song to them that,  Jesus loves them that we know

Their hearts should have the wisdom,  that the Bible tells them so

They need to be assured,  that God loves all of them

Just like He’s done with everyone,  every Jane and Jim

He never made a thing,  that He did not love

The children need to see this,  in the image of the Dove

God saw that it was good that day,   He made man for Himself

We are never insignificant,   like something on a shelf

So live your life every day,  that all the people know

That Jesus is Beside you,   and He loves us so

So when they start to ask,  who we really are

we can reassure them,  Christ is never far

And when they ask us,  how we truly know

We can boldly tell them that,  the Bible tells me so.
