If God is Who He Says He is, Then Who Am I?

If God is who He says He is then who am I? Well, I am His child, His creation, His intended purpose that must rely on Him for everything and in every thing! When God created man, He formed Adam from the dust of the Earth.

We as humans began from even a portion of God’s creation (the dust)—something of little or no value. Then He breathed into Adam a “Living Soul”, a portion of Himself. We contain within us the Living Breath of God! I can tell you this to be an absolute fact.

God is who He says He is! Moses asked God, “Who do I say sent me?” Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you.

God is every single thing that we need Him to be, plus much, much more. This is explained in the following Scriptures:

Matthew 6:25-34

25 Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Isn't life more than food, and the body than the raiment?

26 Behold the birds of heaven, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are they not of much more value than they are?

27 And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit unto the measure of his life?

28 And why are ye anxious concerning raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29 yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31 Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Where shall we be clothed?

32 For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

About 2 years ago, I was explaining to a man that if he would get his life right with God, things would be much better for him. His reply was, “Why? God hasn’t done anything for me.” This is not true in any manner of understanding! Every single breath is a gift from God.

The balance of oxygen and other gasses was long ago mixed perfectly to the needs of life. Every single movement from the beat of our heart, the thoughts of our minds, every step and twitch, is a symphony of choreographed design by God!

I could write volumes on all the things God does for us every second of every day. However, it is far easier and effortless to explain the things God does not do for us, and I can sum it up in just a very few words. God does not do anything that is not for our own betterment!

So how do you learn who God is? We were given the Bible, the Holy Word of God, so that we can know exactly who God is. The Word also gives us the opportunity to have a personal, intimate relationship with the Lord God.

The more I learn of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, the more I want to be in His presence, the closer I want to be to the Lord my God. Many know of God, but they have no idea who God truly is.

If you know God in His entire Majesty, then you know the Lord Jesus Christ (God the Son) and you know the Holy Spirit (God the Spiritual presence).

If you only know of these things and say you believe in God, remember this: the Scripture says even the demons believe and tremble. They tremble because they know who God truly is! God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. The demons know, and they tremble.

Sadly, many who say they know of God have no fear, or reverence, of who God is. They speak of God no differently than they would a specific car model or color of an article of clothing. You can know about being a Christian, but until you know the Savior Jesus Christ, your path is as hell bound as any other lost soul.

John 3:16-17 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

We all have to know who Jesus is and that through Him alone is the only forgiveness of sin and the only path to the Father. There is no Heaven for the sinner without the saving Blood of Jesus the Messiah!

John 14:6 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

If I could impart one thing to everyone, it would be the known Joy and the love that comes with serving the Lord Jesus.
