The War of Two Fronts and the Beast That Doesn’t Die

(Continued from “Assembling a Monster)

This will be a writing that touches most everyone and in a way that can be very uncomfortable.

Do you have a sin that you have lingered in for a long time? A sin that you purposely indulged in? (Your favorite sin.)

I have spoken with so many that have issues with demons that they sought, not just encountered. The reasons may be explained in many ways but it seems the most common causes are seeking comfort, running away from something, addictive personalities, or seeking pleasure.

Things like drugs, gambling, alcohol, or sex, just to name a few. I have witnessed men and women become self-destructive, seeking relief from a lack they often cannot explain.

By assembling our monsters, we are actually inviting unclean spirits into our lives, into our minds, and into our hearts. Soon enough these unclean spirits gain enough power they become obviously alive, not just to ourself, but to others as well. I refer to this as the “evil awakening”, the time when we so freely and willingly indulge in the sinful promptings of the unclean ones.

The more we indulge and coalesce with the evil spirits, the stronger their control of ourself they gain until they achieve their goal. What is their goal, you might ask? DESTRUCTION is their goal, and it is always their goal in every avenue and situation!

I’ll take a moment to explain something that may help some readers to understand. When we indulge in the promptings of the unclean, we are doing far more than just committing sin—we are in fact exposing where we are weak! I promise, those weaknesses we expose are never forgotten and will be used against you throughout your lifetime!

When the beasts we eagerly assemble become strong enough, we often find a sense of something wrong and attempt to correct that wrong. Generally, this is done by shunning the sin, separating ourselves from it, and hoping it will go away. Here is what the Scripture teaches us of this situation: Matthew 12:43-45 43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

When the unclean spirit returns, it must find the house filled with the Holy Spirit so that there is no room for it—an empty house is an invitation for occupation. If this event repeats, then each unclean spirit brings seven more powerful with each of them and soon you become as the man who said he was “legion”(many). (You will find this event in Mark 5:1-20.)

In the 17th chapter of Matthew, the Scripture tells us of a time the Apostles could not cast out a powerful unclean spirit, and Jesus explained to them that some could only be cast out by prayer and fasting.

When we strengthen the unclean and give them power over us, they become very difficult to rid ourselves of. Even when we do manage to sweep clean the house of our spirit, the evil spirits never forget where they once resided and will attempt to return at times.

They will, in a sense, open the door to check in a manner, stick their head in and ask if you remember when…. This is when it is necessary to know by heart the power of God’s Holy Word! In Matthew 4, Jesus was tempted by the devil in the wilderness, and how did Christ resist? He quoted Scripture, and the devil fled from Him.

It is the house of the heart that must be filled with the Holy Spirit and the house of the mind with Scripture verse. We must teach our children to strongly resist exposure to unclean things, and they must also know what terrible consequences can come from exposure over time.

There is an old children’s hymn that says, ”Be careful little ears what you hear”, “Be careful little eyes what you see”, and so on. As adults it is imperative we continue the same practice or we risk encountering unclean spirits! Often, the initial encounter becomes the hook and we fall into the trap that was set for us, and the assembling of the monster begins.

Secondly, when we get to the place our monster becomes alive, not only will we find it virtually impossible to control, but you will find that you begin to resemble its very essence. In this instance, to free yourself from this powerful bondage of sin, you will not only battle the unclean spirit or spirits, but you will battle your self, having created a two-front battle.

I know many don’t even believe in the spiritual realm, but the Bible teaches differently: Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The clean and the unclean are even more real than our fleshly understanding allows us to comprehend. The mind of the flesh limits the understanding to subjects of mortality; the spiritual creature understands the immortal presence.

I pray these two writings help the reader to gain some understanding.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
